The town of Carcassonne celebrates each year Saint Nicholas Day with a two day Medieval Festival. The exact date of the feast is the first weekend of December so that families can attend is as big number as possible.
Taking place in the setting of the world famous medieval citadel, La Cité de Carcassonne, a UNESCO listed site, the festival tries to recreate scenes of the life as it was during the middle ages.
