In 2014 Bordeaux is welcoming its visitors with new and exciting opportunities and events.
Some of them are listed below:
The reopening of the Beaux Arts Museum where nearly 350 art works can be once again admired in newly renovated rooms and with a presentation that was completely revisited.

Two new international cruise lines: Uniworld (www.uniworld.com) and Viking River Cruises (www.vikingrivercruises.com) are now offering 4-8 day river cruises departing from Bordeaux and stopping for visits in different towns and vineyards along the Gironde estuary.
A new, on the bike, guided tour of Bordeaux and its surroundings – the bike provided! – is offered by Bordeaux Velo (www.bordeaux-velo.com)
The Bordeaux city hall that previously could be visited only on Wednesdays at 2:30 pm (sharp!) is now open for visits also on Fridays at 10 am (sharp!)
The Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals and Transgenders “Girofard” association of Bordeaux guides the “Gay cultures and memories in Bordeaux” tour.
The tour allows for the discovery of historical and unique places that have marked the life of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transsexual population of Bordeaux in
the nineteenth and twentieth centuries through the visit of forty monuments/institutions in the city center and the uncovering of less known facts from the life of a dozen of local personalities (poets, writers, artists)
