Gimont Air Show 2015

Patrouille de France
Aerobatics number called “the bomb”

It was overcast this first Sunday of October, but the air show of Gimont, in the eastern part of the Gers department of the southwest France, took nevertheless, like each year, place. As usual hundreds of airplane and flying enthusiasts were present – and again typically finding a parking spot in the little village of Gimont was a problem for the showgoers arriving after the starting time of 1:30pm.
This year the show’s highlight was the presence of the “Patrouille de France” or PAF (PAF for Patrouille acrobatique de France), the France’s official aerobatics team of 8 Alpha Jets painted in the colors of the French flag, blue, white and red, belonging to the French Air Forces.
The other high point of the show was the demonstration of Alexandre Orlowski pilot of the airplane EXTRA 330 SC with which he became world champion in aerobatics in August 2015.
