The Wine and Trading Museum - Musée du Vin et du Négoce - is located north of the historical center of Bordeaux in the Chartrons district.
The coquettish building that houses the museum was built in beginning of the 18th century by the Irish wine dealer Francis Burke. The building served as the dealer's home as well as a semi-underground cave where the barrels of wine were left to age.
The museum features a collection of artifacts that trace 3 centuries of Bordeaux wine trade.
