Visitor's Rating: (0 out of 4/Number of Votes:0)

Pédesclaux Chateau, situated in Pauillac region (it produces a Pauillac Appellation wine), was founded in 1810 by Pierre Urbain Pédesclaux, a famous Bordeaux wine broker. It is listed in the 1855 “Grand Crus” ranking. The property spreads on 40 hectares covered with 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc.
The Chateau practices a sustainable viticulture and at harvest time the grapes are manually picked and manually and optically sorted.
The Chateau produces annually 110,000 of Chateau Pédesclaux wine and 20,000 bottles of Fleur de Pédesclaux (the second wine).
Chateau Pédesclaux "little sister" (or brother!) is Chateau Lilian Ladouys, situated on 45ha on the territory of Saint Estèphe village hence its Saint Estèphe Appellation.
Chateau Lilian Ladouys wine was recognized in 1932 as a "Cru Bourgeois Supérieur".
The history of Lilian Ladouys starts in the 16th century at which time it was an estate called "La Doys" property of one Jacques de Becoyran, Seigneur de Lafite.
The wine domain develops significantly in the 19th century when it is acknowledged by the Bordeaux wine directory Cocks & Féret as one of the best wines of Saint Estèphe.
The chateau changes its name from Ladouys to Lilian Ladouys in the 1980s in the honor of Lilian Thiéblot, the wife of owner of the time Christian Thiéblot.
The property that is planted with 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc produces annually 230,000 bottles of Chateau Lilian Ladouys and 60,000 bottles of La Devise de Lilian.
While Chateau Pédesclaux undergoes a complete wine producing facilities renovation Lilian Ladouys can be visited by appointment.
