On visiting Château Lanessan one can, in the same time, savor the taste of its good wine and visit its impressive neo-classical architecture manor, the surrounding beautiful "a l'anglaise" gardens and the Museum of the horse.
The domain first distinguished owner was Jean Delbos, a Bordeaux wine broker, who bought the property in 1793. Its manor was built in the 19th century by the famous architect Henri Duphot in an Anglo-Saxon style.
The property covers 80 hectares and produces annually 450,000 bottles mainly from the Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety, AOC* Haut Medoc.
