September 2016 Newsletter

August 30th, 2016

Fermées les chemises !
Rangées les valises !"
As the holiday season moves towards its end, the summer 2016 will forever be remembered for its tragic, bloody 14th of July in Nice. One of the side effects of this appalling incident was the cancelation of many cultural events throughout France because of security concerns.
Some of the events in the southwest of France that were still allowed to take place - with reinforced police presence - where the traditional wine festivals of Gaillac and Fronton - two of the important southwest wine regions in Tarn and Haute-Garonne departments respectively -, the "Grand Pruneau Show" of Agen, at its 12th edition, and the 26th edition of Medieval Festival of Monflanquin, both events in Lot-et-Garonne department.
A bientôt,
