March 2015 Newsletter

February 27th, 2015

Bonjour chers amis,

Here we land again in your Inbox….

Limoux CarnivalFebruary is almost gone and if we were to hold the proverb "Pluie de février, emplit les greniers" ("If in February there be no rain, 'tis neither good for hay nor grain") to be true then France will have good crops this year!

As far as we are concerned the two events that marked, like each year, the month of February were: the arrival of the new Michelin Guide, its 115th edition, the world renowned gastronomists' "bible" and the Carnival of Limoux, in the southwest of France, generally held as the longest carnival on the planet - it starts in January and ends in April.

And for those of you who plan to travel to the southwest of France this spring: the "Club hôtelier du Pays de Sarlat" in Dordogne, one of the nicest regions of France, celebrates its 20th anniversary by giving away 100 free rooms in its 44 hotels - ranging from 2 to 5 stars - for the night of April 17th. This is a first in France and the offer will go on first come, first served basis. Reservations starting on March 9th at: + 33 (0)5 53 30 20 87.
