Craft and Gastronomy Days

This year the "Crafts and Gastronomy Days" called "PARENTHÈSES ARTISANALES ET GASTRONOMIQUES" takes place in the Place de la Fontaine Chaude of Dax. It is a meeting of local artisans proposing not only their products but also demonstrations and workshops. Lot of animations, traditional songs and dances etc.

Asparagus Festival

"Fête de l'asperge" takes place every year on May 1st in Pontonx-sur-l'Adour.
The fest includes farmer's market, cooking demonstrations, meetings with asparagus producers, funfair, the visit of an asparagus farm.

The Museums of Dax

Dax’s museums include:
Borda Museum
The museum houses collections of prehistoric objects from archaeological excavations, and also coins. One room is devoted to regional folklore and local bullfighting traditions. The museum can be visited entrance free on the first Sunday of the months (Always free for visitors under 18)
Georgette Dupoy Museum
The museum displays the work of Georgette Dupoy a French painter of the 20th century. Entrance free each Sunday and during national holidays.
Helicopter Museum
The museum displays a unique, in Europe, collection of ancient helicopters and planes and other aviation paraphernalia. The museum is open from the beginning April to the end of November. Free for under 12 year olds.

Sarrat Park
